Shenzhen Novophalt Asphalt High Technology Co., Ltd., hereafter shortly as “the Company”, is invested and formed by following famous Chinese companies - China Overseas Holding Company, Hong Ta Group, China Merchants Group. It was registered in Shenzhen, in March, 2001, with the registered capital of USD 10 million. The Company introduced the world renowned NOVOPHALT technology into China in the form of a joint venture with Asphaltgesellschaft Richard Felsinger International GMBH(Austria) who has had more than 30 years of experiences in modified asphalt projects, and is mainly engaged in the research, development and production of polymer modified asphalt binder used for pavements on road and airport taxiways and runways, as well as other new materials for road construction.

Since the Company introduced and applied the advanced NOVOPHALT technology from Europe, with the business concepts of setting up its brand fame, technology and services guaranteed, it has experienced five years' rapid growth also with the tested market strategies and completion of various highway projects, therefore has established its leading position in the use of modified asphalt as “NOVOPHALT” trademark and as a major supplier of such road construction material in China. The Company offers to its customers various types of bituminous binders modified with any one or a combination of the most widely used polymers (SBS, PE, SBR, PE+SBS, EVA, TR etc.), as well as doing processing of modified asphalt and trading of bitumen. The products can meet not only National Standard (JTG F40-2004) within the industry and binder specifications upon which the project under consideration is based, it can also meet he latest available edition of SHRP Superpave specifications and test methods

The company has developed and implemented an effective and versatile production process and an excellent quality and safety management system. Its quality management system has been certified in February, 2003 under ISO 9001: 2000. The Company also employs many technicians and engineers from various technical disciplines, as well as contract administrators and managers with a broad experience basis who ensure that projects are carried out to the complete satisfaction of government agencies and other clients. The Company was listed as “Shenzhen Major Construction Project” in 2000 and 2001, Shenzhen High Tech Major Development Project, National Major Scientific Achievement Demonstration Company in Shenzhen, awarded as one of the top ten Hi-Tech fast growing companies in Shenzhen, verified as a Hi-Tech enterprise by Shenzhen Bureau of Science and Technology, listed as Credit Member in terms of quality and standard conformity, and awarded as top prize of “Outstanding Project for Achievement Transaction” in October, at China Hi-Tech Fair 2004. 　　
The Company owns the technologies to produce SBS, PE, SBS+PE modified asphalt, as well as emulsified modified asphalt and help the clients in the select of the most suited type of modified asphalt under specific requirements based on the local traffic conditions, climates, etc. to ensure the complete satisfaction of the clients.

The company works closely through out the years together with China highway research institutes and universities aiming at making breakthrough researches and developments in terms of modified asphalt technology. The Company's own R& D center is also completely equipped for Superpave bituminous binders and be able to perform all national standardized and Superpave PG tests

The Company is using the latest polymer modified binder production equipment, complete with its own mobile storage tank for finished products, the heating oil boiler, asphalt heat exchanger, power transformation supply equipment and an intelligent automatic batching apparatus and control system. Till Year 2006, NOVOPHALT modified asphalt has been used in the construction of major expressways and highways located in more than 20 cities, provinces and autonomous regions, such as Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Fujian, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Henan, Hebei, Anhui, Jiangxi, Human, Sichuan, Yunan, Chongqing, Tibet, Guangxi, Gansu, Guizhou, etc. The Company has completed till then 800,000 tons of modified asphalt, which accounted for 20% of the market shares, and became the major supplier in China for constructions using modified asphalt.
